My friend asked me to purchase a piece of gold jewelry from Flecked with Gold on his behalf as a gift for his partner. Honestly, I got a bit anxious after placing the order because I only thought of checking the reviews afterward, I saw some negative comments on their Facebook posts and not-so-great feedback on Reddit.

Because the jewelry was needed for a special occasion the following week, I messaged them daily for updates and reminded them about the lead time of up to 15 days for provincial shipping. To my surprise, the entire buying experience turned out to be smooth and reassuring.

I placed the order on September 8 at 5:10 PM. My payment was verified the same day (around 11 PM), and by the next day, September 9, I received a reply to my email confirming that my order had already been processed and was scheduled for release within 2–3 days. On September 11, I got an auto-email that my order was ready for shipment, so I followed up again to confirm. The following day, they replied that the order had been handed over to the courier and that the tracking number would be sent the next day. True enough, I received the tracking details on September 12, and by September 14, the package had already arrived.

I really appreciate how the shop did its best to deliver within the promised timeframe. The item was packaged securely (I haven’t opened it yet since it’s for my friend to unbox). Their responsiveness on both Instagram and email also gave me peace of mind.
